Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Reproductive Mental Health Specialist

Dr. Andrea Liner

Clinical Background

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and the owner of Flux Psychology, where I have worked with clients navigating significant life transitions for over a decade. My clinical focus has evolved toward reproductive psychology, perinatal mental health, and the psychological complexity of infertility and fertility treatment.

I am also an IVF mom. That lived experience informs my work in ways that formal training cannot. I understand the protocols, the medical terminology, the waiting, and the loss of control that comes when effort stops producing outcome.

Identity Shifts

Infertility and pregnancy after loss are not just medical experiences. They are identity disruptions.

You may be asking:

  • • Who am I if my body isn't cooperating?
  • • Who am I now that I'm pregnant after everything I've been through?
  • • Who am I becoming as a mother?

You don't need someone to define you.
You need someone to stabilize the ground while you rediscover yourself.

That is the work we do together.

Clinical Approach

My therapeutic orientation is psychodynamic, integrated with cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based interventions. I work collaboratively, but I do not simply reflect. I challenge patterns, name dynamics, and provide direction grounded in clinical judgment.

Psychodynamic work explores how you arrived where you are—the origins of your responses, the relational patterns that shape your experience, the unconscious material that influences your choices. Once we have clarity on the larger structure, we move into practical application: building tools, implementing strategies, and creating behavioral change.

I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to provide concrete interventions. You leave sessions with actionable steps, not just insight.

This is not therapy that prioritizes emotional validation over clinical rigor. I respect your intelligence. I do not infantilize your experience. I work from the scar, not the wound.
