Specialized psychological treatment for reproductive challenges
Infertility disrupts the fundamental equation that effort produces outcome. For high-functioning professionals accustomed to competence and control, this loss of predictability is destabilizing. Research does not ensure safety. Planning does not eliminate uncertainty. Protocols do not guarantee pregnancy.
Treatment focuses on processing grief without pathologizing normal responses to loss, managing the psychological impact of repeated disappointment, and navigating the relational strain that often accompanies infertility. This is not about staying positive. It is about building psychological capacity to tolerate uncertainty.
IVF and assisted reproductive technologies are medically, financially, and psychologically demanding. The process involves navigating complex protocols, managing physical side effects, and tolerating repeated cycles of hope and disappointment. The emotional labor is significant.
I understand the medical terminology, the treatment timeline, and the psychological toll of each stage. I do not need the process explained. Treatment focuses on decision-making support, managing stress during active cycles, processing failed outcomes, and navigating success with appropriate caution.
Pregnancy after infertility or loss is psychologically complex. Joy and fear coexist. Gratitude and anxiety are simultaneous. Many women struggle to connect with the pregnancy, anticipating loss rather than allowing attachment. This is a normal protective response, not pathology.
Treatment addresses pregnancy-specific anxiety, builds capacity for connection despite fear, and prepares for the postpartum period. I do not offer reassurance that everything will be fine. I offer space to hold contradictions without judgment.
The postpartum period after infertility brings unique psychological challenges. Gratitude and grief coexist. Relief and rage are simultaneous. Many women feel confused by these contradictions and guilty for struggling after "finally getting what they wanted." These feelings are not irrational. They are complex and valid.
Treatment addresses postpartum mood disorders, attachment difficulties, birth trauma, and identity adjustment. I do not minimize the complexity. I work with it.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many clients are able to receive partial or full reimbursement from their insurance company for out-of-network mental health services.
I provide detailed superbills after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. A superbill includes all the information your insurance company requires: diagnosis codes, session dates, fees, and provider credentials.
I recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning therapy to verify your out-of-network mental health benefits and understand your coverage, deductible, and reimbursement rate.
